Nice job. I tried this but it went badly for me. Syrup is a hard thing for me to swallow.

From Canada? Who would have guessed. All thats missing is some flannel, a couple of loonies, and a floppy hat. A bottle of syrup down the old gullet. Thats just another day in America's Hat.

I agree with Jill that real maple syrup and "breakfast syrup" should be split into different categories. Those definitely feel different to me. In terms of breakfast syrup brands, however, I'm torn. Is there really that much of a difference between Aunt Jemima and Log House? They feel like parity products to a non-connoisseur like myself, but syrup purists would probably argue otherwise. What do others think? Should we give Jake back the record of Fastest Consumption Of A 24-Ounce Bottle Of Aunt Jemima Breakfast Syrup and give Shea Small the record for Fastest Consumption Of A 24-Ounce Bottle Of Tropical Original Recipe Syrup?

  • Rematch, please. I don't think this is a fair contest unless the syrup products are the same.... consistencies can be extremely variable... anyone who's sampled 100% real maple syrup over Log Cabin can attest. Of course I can't imagine these fellas would want to do this all over again, but still - just my two cents!

  • Hasn't this record been beaten as of Friday? I want my boy to get credit!

I watched this record get shattered in San Diego last friday. And just an FYI to any others trying to break it...apparently jamima-vomit stays in your nasal cavity like glue. Fair warning!
