About

Bendigo, Victoria, Australia / October 22, 2026

Josh Macklan bounced a pickleball on a pickleball paddle 246 times in one minute at home in Bendigo, Australia, with a countdown timer running on a laptop right behind the paddle. He keeps the ball low and steady at about four bounces a second, and when it nearly dies on the paddle at one point he pops it back up and keeps going. RecordSetter counted every bounce inside the timer's minute, frame by frame and against the tap of the ball on the paddle. A pickleball is a light plastic ball full of holes, so keeping it under control is harder than it looks.

Rules

- Use a pickleball and a pickleball paddle held in one hand.
- Bounce the ball on the face of the paddle; each time the ball comes back down onto the paddle counts as one bounce.
- The ball may touch only the paddle during the attempt; if it touches anything else or hits the floor, the count stops there.
- Time one minute with a timer that stays visible in the video; only bounces inside that minute count.
- The attempt must be shown in one continuous, unedited video with the ball and paddle in view throughout.
