Jay-Kub P. took 20 minutes, 17.27 seconds to wave directly towards the camera.

At the 2015 VidCon Prom, 2,047 members of the YouTube community created the Largest Cellphone Wave, a RecordSetter.com World Record. Participants turned on their phone flashlights and created a wave of light motion back and forth across the floor of the Anaheim Convention Center Arena. 106 computer resource specialists performed the wave for 30 seconds. The group consisted of computer resource specialists from Virginia Beach City Public Schools.

A total of 300 campers from iD Tech Camp - Stanford University performed "the wave".

371 employees of Burt’s Bees performed the wave and and then simultaneously applied lip balm. They then acknowledged the application of the lip balm by saying quot;Refreshing.quot;
