Cycling World Records  

Rich Dwyer, Greg Obetz, Mike Richwalder, Brice Biruta, and Andrew Hiller rode tandem style on three Big Wheels for six minutes, 16.10 seconds. Three men steered the tricycles with the other two balanced on the back. tag:RecordSetterBook01

This record was set as part of Prius Records, a two-day event streamed live on the Internet. In a 48-hour period, URDB officials adjudicated 200 Prius-related world records. This was the most records ever documented in a 48-hour window, a world record in and of itself. The event took place in Los Angeles, California on March 30th and 31st, 2011. Texas 4000, a group of University of Texas students preparing to cycle 4,000 miles to raise money to battle cancer, rode a trainer bike 31.50 miles in one hour, a new world record. Texas 4000 set the record during URDB’sBreakCancer party at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. Kenny Lewis whistled for 44.95 seconds while riding his bicycle though Death Valley. His tune of choice was Walking In The Air, the theme from the 1982 animated film of Raymond Briggs’ 1978 children’s book The Snowman[]. Lewis took the ride to raise money for WaterAid.

60 riders in the Texas 4000stood in a circle and made individual dedications before lining up and forming a can-can line. They set the record before heading out on a bicycle ride.

Brian Pankey balanced a bicycle on his forehead and completed 24 catches while juggling three clubs, a RecordSetter.com World Record.

Scott Sleder hopped on the back wheel of his BMX bike 27 times in 15 seconds while wearing a lifejacket.
