Boating World Records

Nine women from The Embarcadero Rowing Club dressed in wigs, mustaches, and pirate patches and rowed a figure 8 in their whaleboat in one minute, 44.97 seconds, a new world record. The record was set on June 22, 2009 in San Francisco, Californa. Coach Oliver DiCicco was present as a witness.

During the sixth annual "Ready, Set, Wear It!" campaign, 10,917 people gathered at 257 events to set a world record for the largest group of people to wear life jackets. The event was hosted by the National Safe Boating Council in partnership with Canadian Safe Boating Council. They set the record to promote safe and responsible boating for National Safe Boating Week and throughout the boating season. See photos of the events here. Chris Miller sucessfully threw a football from a boat to his friend who was 60 feet away riding a wakeboard. They set the world record on Lake Coeur d’Alene.

Chase Jordan Ellingson completed 299 consecutive 360s on a kneeboard.
