Most BMX Front Hops On Pedals With The Bike Upside Down In Ten Seconds

jose manuel martin molina

Jose Manuel Martin Molina flips his red BMX upside down in a parking garage in Ayamonte, Spain, stands it on its front end with the back wheel pointing at the ceiling, and climbs onto the pedals. From there he bounces the whole bike off the concrete 27 times in just over nine seconds, then jumps clear and catches the bike before it tips. We counted every hop frame by frame in his single continuous take, and the sound of each landing matches the count. Riding a bike is hard enough the right way up.

Most BMX Front Hops With Bars Turned 180 Degrees

jose manuel martin molina

Jose Manuel Martin Molina of Ayamonte, Spain turns his BMX handlebars around and pogo hops on the front wheel 177 times across a sunny tiled plaza. The phone video is a single 68 second take with no cuts: he starts by the far doorway, hops the full length of the plaza with the back wheel in the air, and only drops it when he reaches the camera. RecordSetter checked the steady pace of about three hops per second across the take, which covers his count with room to spare. Hard enough with the bars facing the right way.

Spain

Most BMX Front Hops With Bars Turned 180 Degrees While Standing On Top Tube

jose manuel martin molina

Jose Manuel Martin Molina turns his BMX handlebars around backwards, stands up with both feet on the top tube and front hops 158 times through an underground parking garage in Ayamonte, Spain. The single take runs about 54 seconds with the back wheel in the air the whole time: he hops from the far garage door up to the camera, passes it side-on, then turns and hops back the way he came. RecordSetter's frame-by-frame motion count backs up his 158 at a steady pace of about three hops per second. Even the steering works in reverse on this one.

Most BMX Inverted-Grip Front Hops (Rider Over 50 Years Old)

Martin Tuson

58-year-old BMX rider Martin Tuson of Bangor, Northern Ireland, did 148 inverted-grip front hops in a row in the Bangor Elim Church car park on a windy day. With his palms facing up on the bars, he keeps the rear wheel in the air and bounces on the front wheel for close to 50 seconds without stepping off. The run is filmed in one continuous take, and its pace matches the 148-hop count. Not bad for a blustery afternoon.

Spain

Most BMX Pogo Front Hops

jose manuel martin molina

Jose Manuel Martin Molina of Ayamonte, Spain stands on the front pegs of his red BMX and pogo hops on the front wheel, rear wheel held high, for 768 hops in an underground parking garage. The low-angle video is a single 5 minute 23 second take with no cuts, and he bounces his way from the far garage door right up to the camera without ever touching down. RecordSetter checked the footage frame by frame and found a steady rhythm of about three hops per second, more than enough to cover his count. Legs of steel, and a garage floor that has seen a lot of rubber.

Spain

Most BMX Pogo Front Hops Facing Away From The Bike

jose manuel martin molina

Jose Manuel Martin Molina of Ayamonte, Spain stands on the front pegs of his red BMX with the bike behind his back and pogo hops on the front wheel 355 times in an underground parking garage. The video is a single 2 minute 11 second take with no cuts, filmed from a low fixed angle in front of a green garage door, and the rear wheel stays in the air until he steps off at the end. RecordSetter tracked the rhythm of the hops across the take, about three per second, which comfortably covers his count. Most riders face the bars for this trick; he does it looking the other way.

Spain

Most BMX Spiderman Presses

jose manuel martin molina

Jose Manuel Martin Molina grips the handlebars of his parked red BMX, walks his feet high up a whitewashed wall in Ayamonte, Spain, and lowers himself toward the bars and presses back up 22 times. The 39 second clip is one continuous take, with his feet on the wall from the first press until he steps down and two short pauses with his arms locked out. RecordSetter counted every press frame by frame, each one bending his elbows and finishing with straight arms. Think of it as an upside-down push-up on a bike that has to stay perfectly still.

Most Consecutive BMX Bunny Hops Over A Swinging Rope

Parker Gray

Seven-year-old Parker Gray sat on his BMX in a quiet street in Newport, South Wales, while his mum and dad turned a long blue skipping rope over him, and he bunny hopped the bike clear of it 17 times in a row. The video was shot on a phone held in one turner's rope hand, and RecordSetter counted the rope turns in the single unedited take: 18 turns in about 24 seconds, with the 18th catching his front wheel to end the run. Skipping is hard enough without a bike under you.

Spain

Most Front Flips Off A BMX In Twenty Seconds

jose manuel martin molina

Jose Manuel Martin Molina rides his red BMX across a palm-lined plaza in Ayamonte, Spain, and five times in 20 seconds he pitches forward over the handlebars, flips upside down and lands on his feet. After every landing he grabs the bike, hops back on and rolls straight into the next one. We counted all five flips in his continuous 20-second clip, filmed from a fixed camera with the plaza's bandstand behind him. Most riders spend years trying not to go over the bars; he does it on purpose, on repeat.

Spain

Most Jump Rope Skips During BMX Pogo Front Hops

jose manuel martin molina

Jose Manuel Martin Molina pogo hops on the front wheel of his BMX in a parking garage in Ayamonte, Spain, standing on the front pegs with the back wheel up, then lets go of the bars and turns a jump rope around himself and the bike. The rope comes over his head three times in one continuous take, which matches his count of two skips under the front wheel in our frame-by-frame review. Skipping rope is hard enough with both feet on the ground.

Spain

Most No-Handed BMX Pogo Front Hops

jose manuel martin molina

Jose Manuel Martin Molina stands on the front pegs of his red BMX and pogo hops on the front wheel 129 times with his arms held out and his hands off the bars, in an underground parking garage in Ayamonte, Spain. The 49 second video is one continuous take from a low fixed camera: he lets go of the grips about a second in, hops from the far end of the garage all the way to the lens at about three hops per second, and turns side-on at the end with the back wheel still in the air before his hand goes back to the bars. RecordSetter counted the no-hands stretch twice, from the bounce on screen and from the sound of each landing, and both counts match his 129. That is 27 more than his earlier 102 on this record.

Spain

Most Tennis Ball Bounces On A Tennis Racquet While Balancing On A BMX

jose manuel martin molina

Jose Manuel Martin Molina stands on the front pegs of his red BMX in an underground parking garage in Ayamonte, Spain, and keeps a tennis ball bouncing on a tennis racquet 360 times without putting a foot down. The bike stays put with its front wheel turned sideways, so all the balance comes from small shifts of his body while his racquet hand keeps the ball going about every 0.37 seconds. The video is one continuous take with roughly two minutes and 15 seconds of bouncing, and RecordSetter's own count from the footage and the sound of each hit came out right around his 360. Think of it as a track stand and a tennis warm-up at the same time.
