Mildura, Victoria, Australia / April 20, 1972

Two Australian basketball teams consisting of 10 players on each team, who played in the Mildura Basketball Association, played a continuous basketball marathon that lasted an outstanding 120 hours, 15 minutes (5 days and 5 nights). The game began on April 20, 1972 and finished on April 25, 1972.

The players would like to thank the following: The Mildura Basketball Association, Irymple Basketball Club and the Mildura Lions Club (Bob McKenzie) along with the throngs of people that assisted to prepare food and drink, masseurs, first aid officers, team managers, referees, and statisticians. - must follow standard basketball rules and regulations
- each team is allowed to have a five-minute break every hour
- must have a medical team on standby for duration of attempt
- must follow form of current world record holder
- must provide video evidence
