Brendan Larrabee of Brookline, Massachusetts boldly sets a record by solving a Rubik’s Cube while sleeping a yo-yo in just three minutes, 36.68 seconds. Timing began when Larrabee began sleeping the yo-yo, and finished when he brought it back up to his hand after solving the Cube. The record was set on August 8, 2008 at the International Yo-Yo Open in New York City. Larrabee used a YoYoFactory eight8eight yo-yo and a mini 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cube. Witnesses were Talia Ledner and Dan Rollman. #YOYO01

Malachy Quinn displays physical agility and yo-yo mastery while setting a new world record for most revolutions while doing the splits. Quinn performed 122 consecutive revolutions. The record was set on August 9, 2008 at the International Yo-Yo Open in New York City. Quinn used a YoYoFactory eight8eight yo-yo and HighLights Type6 yo-yo string. Niki Yoshiuchi combines his bicycle and yo-yo skills en route to setting a world record for the longest yo-yo sleeper while doing a one-foot track stand. Yoshiuchi stayed balanced for 33.41 seconds. The record was set on August 9, 2008 at the International Yo-Yo Open in New York City. Niki used a YoYoJam Hitman yo-yo. His bike was a 53 cm Iro Mark V. Witnesses were Colin Nissan and Talia Ledner. #YOYO01

Yo-yo master Jospeh Harris displays his legendary skills by setting a new universal record for most consecutive under the leg loops (148). Harris set his record on August 9, 2008 at the International Yo-Yo Open[] in New York City. He used a YoYoJam Sunset Trajectory NXG yo-yo and a 1/2 polyester, 1/2 synthetic string to achieve the feat. Witnesses included Faisal Ansari and Talia Ledner. #YOYO01

April Choi performed seven yo-yo plastic whips while talking to her friend, Brian, on the phone.

Yoyoer Chris Mikulin pulls off ten Bishop of Cornwalls in one throw with bind, a new world record. He used a Bear vs Man yo-yo to achieve the feat. This record was set on August 9, 2008 at the International Yo-Yo Open in New York City. Dan Rollman and Talia Ledner were present to count and document the achievement. #YOYO01

Billy O. performed 200 consecutive forward passes while standing on one foot.

Dan Tsiakos makes yo-yo history by completing eight Hidemasa Hooks in a row, a new world record. He achieved the feat on August 9, 2008 at the International Yo-Yo Open[] in New York City. Tsiakos used a One Drop MarkMont yo-yo, concave bearings and a standard length, purple Alchemy string. Dan Rollman and Faisal Ansari witnessed the record. #YOYO01

Pete M. kept a diabolo in the air for 4.97 seconds.

Ryan C. completed 87 gravity pulls with a standard yo-yo in one minute.

Brian Pankey performed a yo-yo throw down in .42 seconds.
