    Is Doug still shooting?

We're gonna make an attempt at this one this weekend, hopefully Doug is still shooting. We will be running an old single shot M34 Ranger, with open sights.

That is a good sport of you, Grant. Doug is the creator of this category so aside from RecordSetter, he has the right to create and/or modify the rules as deemed valid and necessary. You can as well invent your own record categories and have Doug go and challenge it, I'm sure that'll be awesome. Both of you shoot very well

Ok GrantI use a single shot 22 rifle with a receiver mounted peep sight my front sight is a globe sight there is no magnification in either sight. hope this helps youI beleive that with your semi auto and scope you could make records in a different catagory.

thats fine. but just so i know what sights are you using on your rifle?

  • Canada Doug McManaman

OK Grant if Recordsetter puts your record in the proper catagorie i definately will beat it so lets just wait for the decision no hard feelings on this end just want it done fairly.

  • United States GS123456789

ok, but if you have a semi auto and a scope why dont you just try to beat my record

  • Philippines MaAnn P.

Hi Grant. In the spirit of fairness and equality, your attempt has been denied. Using a semi-auto rifle and a scope made the task easier than using what Doug McManaman had used. We will be glad to see if you try the same equipment as he used.

  • United States GS123456789

even if i was using a single shot i still could've beat your time because it only took me about three seconds to hit each balloon, and reloading would have only added on about 30 seconds.

  • Canada Doug McManaman

sorry Grant I cant agree your semi auto is much quicker than a single shot and also you used a telescope sight which would make the balloons very easy to hit

  • Canada Doug McManaman

This record should not count as i used a single shot rifle and Grant used a semi automatic rifle a huge difference. please review

Doug, i dont belive that the rules said anything about the rifle having to be a single shot

sdg k i would like to see your mother or you in fact try this record and see how you make out.

  • The Internet sdg k

world record my ass my mother could do that shit

  • Canada Doug McManaman

yes rifle is a single shot

Marshall, I think if you follow the lead that Doug sets here you are good to go. Looks like Doug re-loads after each shot. Doug, do you have any input on this?

  • United States Marshal Way

Rob Birdsong... for this record, would the rounds have to be loaded into the firearm individually after each shot, or would a magazine with five rounds in it be permitted...? also, is a semi-automatic firearm be permitted?

  • United States Rob Birdsong

Jordan is spot on. Doug uses a .22 caliber rifle to set all of his shooting records. We edited that piece of criteria.

  • The Internet Jordan Stone

The record criteria is not correct. Doug was using a bolt-action rifle, not a shotgun. A shotgun wouldn't really be the right firearm for this record.
