Tandem World Records

Tim Elias and a friend completed 170 consecutive tandem single jump rope jumps in an office. Stride’s setting 100 records in 100 days. At the end of 100 days, we’ll verify if you are the standing Record Holder. If you are, you’ll get $500 for each record you managed to hold with your guile, talent, and sheer will. General caution and common sense required. We show the Stride Team at work, but recommend that these challenges be done at home.

With a deck of cards in each hand, Brian Pankey completed six tandem hot shot cuts (12 cuts in total).

Two students from iD Tech Camps University of Michigan completed 44 consecutive, alternating leap frog jumps back and forth in one minute, two seconds. [#iDTech][]

Lisa Bay and Mike MacPherson completed 17 leap frogs in a shower in 30 seconds. The duo set achieved the feat at the 2011 Sasquatch Music Festival in George, Washington. The record was set inside got2b’s World’s Biggest Shower[], a featured festival attraction. [#SMF01][]

This record was set as part of Toyota Prius Records, a two-day event streamed live on the Internet. In a 48-hour period, URDB officials adjudicated 200 Prius-related world records. This was the most records ever documented in a 48-hour window, a world record in and of itself. The event took place in Los Angeles, California on March 30th and 31st, 2011. Doctors Ben Clarke and Gihan Ganeshanantham traveled across the European continent by tandem bicycling in 57 days, eight hours and 54 minutes. They started from North Cape in Norway and rode to Tarifa in Southern Spain. They rode a total of 6,918.1 kilometers (4298.7 miles). The doctors set the record to raise funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, an organization dedicated to provide world-class care for cancer patients. Learn more about the feat here.
