Swimming World Records

22 official swimming records and counting

Swimming world records can be set in a pool, in the sea, in a lake or even at a water park. You don't have to be a speedy swimmer, either - belly flops make for very entertaining world records, as do props like pool noodles, swim caps and inner tubes. Whatever way you choose to set your record, just remember: wear a life jacket if your swimming skills are a little shabby.
