On Saturday March 27, 2010 from 10am-11am, Mellow Mushroom in Charlesto, SC. attempted to set the world record of largest gathering of Smirnoff Bloody Mary drinkers. 578 participants bloody mary drinkers attended the event which was recorded via head count. The record was witnessed by Mellow Mushroom Charleston Public Relations Directors, Jonah Jeter, Joey Rogers, and Sarah Henderson. There were six bartenders at the bar upstairs and two bartenders at the patio bar.
