I worked or wrote for numerous Dallas-area newspapers and magazines from 1978 through 2003. Several of them are classics such as the Dallas Times Herald and Hard Times News, which have gone out of business. Others like The Dallas Morning News and The Dallas Examiner continue to survive in a tough environment for such publications.
