The reason the record is 29944 is because I started at 30000 and landed at 56, meaning an overall distance fell of 30000-56 = 29944 :P Another thing to mention is that Minecraft blocks are 1x1x1 meter (1 meter cubed) hence the distance being in meters. Also, I deeply apologize for the pausing in the video. You'll notice the distance stops when the game is paused so you can check that I didn't cheat :D
