Straw World Records

This record was set as part of Toyota Prius Records, a two-day event streamed live on the Internet. In a 48-hour period, URDB officials adjudicated 200 Prius-related world records. This was the most records ever documented in a 48-hour window, a world record in and of itself. The event took place in Los Angeles, California on March 30th and 31st, 2011. Dyuthi Khanna drank hot chocolate through 12 straws connected together to form one extra-long straw. She accomplished this feat at Stevenson High School’s Operation Snowball in March 2011.

Meera B. drank a 330-ml glass of water using straw in 9.35 seconds. WARNING: Speed drinking can be extremely dangerous. Please do not attempt this record unless you are above the age of 18 or trained as a professional speed drinker. We will not accept speed eating submissions from minors.

Doug McManaman drank half of a 341-ml beer balanced on his forehead using a straw in one minute, 35.00 seconds.
