Heaviest One-Arm Bar Hang For Thirty Seconds

daniel tochev

Daniel Tochev of Pleven, Bulgaria, hung from a doorway pull-up bar by one bare hand for 30.8 seconds with 90.3 kilograms of plates chained to a dip belt, knees tucked and the stack swinging clear of the floor. Weighing in at 64.2 kilograms himself, he had roughly 154 kilograms hanging from a single grip. We timed the hold frame by frame from the moment his feet left the floor until they came back down, and watched the belt, chain and plates go onto a platform scale right afterwards, reading 90.30 kilograms. That is a lot of iron for one hand.

Most Unbroken Muscle-Ups

Arthur

Arthur did 107 muscle-ups without coming off the bar in a 34-minute set at his gym in Christchurch, New Zealand, filmed in one uncut take by a phone on the floor while other members trained around him. A muscle-up takes the body from hanging below a bar to holding it up above the bar, and Arthur swung each one up with a knee tuck, then rested on top between reps, sometimes for close to a minute. His rules banned touching the ground and chicken-wing reps, where one elbow hooks over the bar before the other, and RecordSetter counted every rep on his original phone file. He shares his climb from a single chicken-wing muscle-up to this set on his YouTube channel, Arthur's Fitness.

Longest One-Finger Bar Hang

daniel tochev

Daniel Tochev of Pleven, Bulgaria, hooked a single chalked finger over a doorway pull-up bar, tucked his knees and hung there for 13.6 seconds, the rest of his hand curled into a fist below the bar and a stopwatch in his free hand. We timed the hang frame by frame from the moment both feet left the floor until one touched down again, and his own stopwatch, shown to the camera right afterwards, read 13.86 seconds. That is his whole bodyweight on one finger, and he is grinning for most of it.
