Yanhao Deng of Chenzhou, Hunan, rolled two D batteries around each other in one cupped hand for ten seconds, with a phone stopwatch running on the desk beside the hand. The stopwatch starts from zero on camera, and RecordSetter went through the unedited video frame by frame: the batteries trade places 11 times before the stopwatch reaches 10 seconds, matching Yanhao's count. Ten seconds leaves no room for a fumble with batteries this big, and neither one leaves the hand.

RecordSetter read 00:05.24 on the stopwatch close-up, matched it to the gap between the two taps on the video, checked that the stopwatch was reset to zero before the run and that no second hand touches a bottle, and watched all five stay standing on their own for several seconds after the stop. Five bottles, one hand, just over five seconds.
