Jump Rope World Records

Seven-year-old Parker Gray sat on his BMX in a quiet street in Newport, South Wales, while his mum and dad turned a long blue skipping rope over him, and he bunny hopped the bike clear of it 17 times in a row. The video was shot on a phone held in one turner's rope hand, and RecordSetter counted the rope turns in the single unedited take: 18 turns in about 24 seconds, with the 18th catching his front wheel to end the run. Skipping is hard enough without a bike under you.

Jose Manuel Martin Molina pogo hops on the front wheel of his BMX in a parking garage in Ayamonte, Spain, standing on the front pegs with the back wheel up, then lets go of the bars and turns a jump rope around himself and the bike. The rope comes over his head three times in one continuous take, which matches his count of two skips under the front wheel in our frame-by-frame review. Skipping rope is hard enough with both feet on the ground.

Phil Covitz and Andrea D’Attanasio complete a world record 111 tandem single-rope jumps during the duration of the Run-D.M.C. song, ’It’s Tricky[]’. Jumps where they tripped or stumbled over the rope were not counted. The couple set the record on March 25, 2009 at a World Record Appreciation Society[] event held at Pianos in New York City. Sean Goldsmith and Doug Williams completed 132 tandem jump ropes in one minute.

Tejas completed 180 consecutive single-rope jumps while riding no-handed on a pogo stick.

Graham Booth from Cary YMCA Super Skippers performed 93 double-jump rope jumps in 30 seconds. He set the record during the 2014 US National Jump Rope Championships.

Doug Williams completed 55 single rope jumps while listening to Party Boy Theme Song and getting hit by dodgeballs.

Charis VD completed 42 pogo stick jumps through a single jump rope. Two of his friends each held one side of the rope.

Vineet Kumar skipped rope 223 times in one minute while jumping on one leg.

Vineet Kumar completed 130 one-legged jump ropes in 30 seconds.

A total of 33 student campers fromiD Tech Camps Villanova University[]jumped rope using invisible jump ropes at the same time. [#iDTech][]

This record was set as part of Toyota Prius Records, a two-day event streamed live on the Internet. In a 48-hour period, URDB officials adjudicated 200 Prius-related world records. This was the most records ever documented in a 48-hour window, a world record in and of itself. The event took place in Los Angeles, California on March 30th and 31st, 2011. Patrick Armitage jumped double dutch with a jump-rope in a shower for 31.66 seconds, a new world record. He achieved the feat at the 2011 Sasquatch Music Festival in George, Washington. The record was set inside got2b’s World’s Biggest Shower[], a featured festival attraction. [#SMF01][]

Tim Elias and a friend completed 170 consecutive tandem single jump rope jumps in an office. Stride’s setting 100 records in 100 days. At the end of 100 days, we’ll verify if you are the standing Record Holder. If you are, you’ll get $500 for each record you managed to hold with your guile, talent, and sheer will.
