Led by Jeff Tomlinson, 32 pairs of students joined together for a 64-person piggyback group hug.

Matthew J. and Matthew S. hugged each other 10 times in 1.23 seconds.

Two men, both named Ryan Brown, hugged each other, setting a new record for Most People With The Same Name To Hug At Once. Ryan Brown and Ryan Brown set the record at a World Record Appreciation Society event held at Joe’s Pub in New York City. Dan Rollman and Corey Henderson were present as witnesses. #WRAS19

Melissa Owens embarked upon a personal goal to break a hugging record. She gave out 600 hugs during a flash mob at Portlandrsquo;s Pioneer Courthouse Square[]. Owensrsquo; hugging record was the fifth URDB record to be set by supporters of the OHSU AYA program at the Knight Cancer Institute[].

This record was set as part of Toyota Prius Records, a two-day event streamed live on the Internet. In a 48-hour period, URDB officials adjudicated 200 Prius-related world records. This was the most records ever documented in a 48-hour window, a world record in and of itself. The event took place in Los Angeles, California on March 30th and 31st, 2011. Benjamin P. led 118 people to join together for a group hug inside an auditorium.

A total of 62 people from powerHouse Books joined together for a group hug during a stop on the RecordSetter book tour.

Pete Moyer led 14 students at Christ Greenfield hugged a Justin Bieber cardboard cutout in one minute.

Matt E, Daniel O, Amanda L and Justin K shared a group hug while all wearing a pair of Google Glass. The record was set at the PepsiCo Digital Summit. The record was officiated by RecordSetter CEO Dan Rollman. #digitalfuture

DJ Blake of 103.7 WDBR gave 2,834 hugs in one hour to people at Knight’s Action Park in Springfield, Illinois. He set the record to raise donations for Children’s Miracle Network and St. John’s Children’s Hospital. Learn more about the feat here.

Alessia S. hugged 21 people in 30 seconds on her birthday. Alessia set her record during a RecordSetter LIVE! event at The Learning Village in Las Vegas, Nevada. RecordSetter Co-founders Dan Rollman and Corey Henderson were present to adjudicate the attempt.

28 students from Saint Louis University hugged their school mascot, a Billiken, at the same time. They set the record on campus as part of a Mountain Dew Kickstart event. RecordSetter CEO Dan Rollman was present to adjudicate the attempt.

Marlene Reinert and Khadija Boubas gave hugs to 71 people in one hour at a mall.

Josh B. led 21 authors in simultaneously hugging a librarian. They set the record at YA Fest at the Palmer Branch of the Easton Public Library in Easton, Pennsylvania.
