During the 2011 Diggnation event at SXSW in Austin, Texas, six people jumped into the audience during a Leo Laporte live stream and crowdsurfed. The crowdsurfers were Leo Laporte, Kevin Rose, Alex Albrecht, Brian Brushwood, Lisa Bettany and David Prager.

Led by Zappos.com CEO Tony Hsieh, 1,577 Zappos employees and friends cut a ribbon snaking through the Zappos headquarters plaza and up to several balcony levels. The record was set during the grand opening of the Zappos Headquarters in Downtown Las Vegas. RecordSetter Founders Dan Rollman and Corey Henderson were present to adjudicate the attempt. A total of 77 middle and high school students and leaders at Harris Creek Baptist Church Youth Ministry in Waco, Texas danced The Whip while wearing glow sticks.

At the Zappos.com Bay to Breakers road race in San Francisco, California, 17 people set a world record for Most People Dancing “The Robot” Without Listening To Music. 478 students from SPK Schools in Namakkal, India danced at once while holding sugarcane stalks. Dr. S.Prabu Kumar, chairman of the school institution, organized the record.

Mel Sampson led 66 people in dancing at once while wearing hoodies. They set the record as part of their #TBT season finale outside 95.9 SunFM in Miramichi, New Brunswick.

At the 2011 Sasquatch Music Festival in George, Washington, 63 people danced in a shower at once. The record was set inside got2b’s World’s Biggest Shower, a featured festival attraction. [#SMF01][]

161 people at Maple Leaf Foods danced the Bacon Dance at once.

A total of 22 people danced the Gumboot Dance at once. They set the record to promote unity and social cohesion in their community.

96 people dressed as robots danced "the robot" at the same time.

395 people danced to "Can't Stop the Feeling" while wearing glow stick necklaces. They set the record during Summer Sizzle, a summer kick-off event in Mesquite, Texas.

32 Durham scouts danced to Captain Pugwash while wearing pirate costumes.

543 students at Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School in Tamil Nadu, India danced to Shake Your Sillies Out.

A total of 53 members of The JCC Manhattan Adaptations Groups danced to The Cosby Show theme song at once. The JCC Manhattan Adaptations Groups set the record at a RecordSetter LIVE! event held at The JCC in Manhattan in New York City. RecordSetter Council president Dan Rollman and senior official Ella Morton presided over the attempt. #RSLIVE24

James Medina and Paul Bryan led a group of 208 people dancing to music playing from a Ford Fusion. They set the record as part of Fusion 41, a nationwide world record challenge created by the Ford Motor Company. tag:RecordSetterBook01
