Directed by guest speaker Chris Sacca, 1006 freshmen students at Wright State University yelled the word “Livestrong!” at the same time. The record was set to raise awareness for Lance Armstrong’s cancer-related organization.

78 cancer survivors and their caregivers hula hooped at the same time during a Defeat Cancer meeting in Bend, Oregon.

Seven people finished the 2010 San Antonio Rock & Roll Full & Half-Marathon[] said “Break cancer!” after their completion of the race.

28 people from 2011 LIVESTRONG Texas 4000 Team lifted their bikes up and said “Break Cancer” following a 40-mile ride.

Bridget Liddy and three of her girlfriends put a hex on their friend Rebecca’s cancer by reciting a four line rhyming couplet 13 times in a row.

Mason Kinard trashed “Cancer” 28 times in 30 seconds.

17 members of the Larsen Family /Team Shan gathered to say “Breast Cancer Awarenesss for Young Women”.

Mel Sampson and 514 other people participated in the CIBC Run for the Cure[]. They exercised to raise breast cancer awareness.

A group of 120 people composed of patients, survivors, caregivers, advocates, navigators, healthcare professionals and attorneys gathered together to learn about cancer rights. The rights discussed include Employment amp; Taking Time Off Work, Health, Disability and Life Insurance Options, Access to Health Care, Insurance Navigation and Appeals, Understanding Health Care Reform, Cancer Community Resources, Genetics amp; the Law, Legislative Advocacy, Education Rights of Children and Young Adults with Cancer, and Financial Planning.

70 people set a record for largest group of masked dental hygienists to support Break Cancer as an early celebration of Oral, Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month[] and National Young Adult Cancer Awareness Week[]. A total of 121 people from California State University - Fullerton Campus, John Wayne Cancer Foundation and The National Melanoma Awareness Project applied sunscreen in the rain. They set the record as part of the Spot-A-Spot event, a campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of skin cancer.
