Break Cancer World Records  

Texas 4000, a group of University of Texas students preparing to cycle 4,000 miles to raise money to battle cancer, rode a trainer bike 31.50 miles in one hour, a new world record. The Nurse Oncology Education Program nurses at Dallas, Texas gave each other a total of 232 high-fives in recognition of quality cancer care as part of the Break Cancer initiative.

Christi Disch set a world record by gathering 2,030 online support communities together to support Break Cancer.

The NMDP Office of Patient Advocacy set a world record for the shortest race to break cancer, measuring six feet (72 inches).

On November 24, 2010, Lorna Larsen, president of Team Shan, presented to 450 students at the University of Western Ontario. Following the lecture, she inspired the entire room to say, “Team Shan Breast Cancer Awareness for Young Women” at the same time.
