Daniel Marino and Manuel Dominguez drank one pint of beer each and then filled a Connect Four board with a checkerboard pattern in 53.44 seconds. They performed the feat on November 24, 2009 during a Connect Four Tournament[] at the The Bell House in Brooklyn, New York. Dan Rollman and Rob Birdsong were on hand to witness and time the feat. Mike Gamble drank a full bottle of beer through a cocktail straw while shredding on the B string of his electric guitar in 58.25 seconds. His bandmate helped refill the glass while the record was being set. Gamble performed the feat on July 14, 2009 at a World Record Appreciation Society[] event in New York City. Octavian Drulea led a group toast in which 17 glasses were raised at once, a new world record. One participant clinked a virtual beverage: an iBeer application for the iPhone, which he then emptied on camera. Drulea set the record on February 17, 2009 at a World Record Appreciation Society event at the Hemlock Tavern in San Francisco, California.
