The training was definitely demanding, and had it's "ups" and "downs" (pun intended). :) The race proved to be very demanding, navigation-wise since the roads were very, let's say, broken and non-flat. You really come to know the imperfections of roads once you joggle a marathon backwards on some :)
No drops for 5 hours until that darn hole in the road at mile 23 1/2 that we overlooked and I stepped in. I had one more drop in the next couple of miles by a similar darn little road crater that caught my shoe.
I had 2 drops out of 62,460 throws. I'll do a short video of those darn drops in slo-mo :) My legs were more sore, but not until 48 hrs did it really kick in a bit. During the race, it was my upper "trapezious" back muscles burning and in pain the most along with some foot pain, and bad cramps/spasms after mile 20 due to electrolyte imbalance and dehydration. Sounds fun, huh? :)
