too blurry to see, but it was awarded so ,, good job

  • The Internet James Campbell

He seems to be using cheat codes. He got cornered quite a few times yet always seemed to get out of it. The screen is blurry (probably intentionally) to make it hard to see that.

I read some of the comments and I can see there are no cheats, and I do remember occasionally going through a ghost myself from time to time. Please disreguard my comment. I tried to delete it, but couldn't figure out how to do it.

Did you know you can play Pac-Man in the middle of Amsterdam's Red Light District? Look what i've found: http://www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com/entertainment/tonton-club/

  • The Internet jrh

how is this "perfect" if you are not hitting all 4 ghosts when you hit each powerup?

  • The Internet Bruce Guilliams

David Race! It's Bruce Guilliams Jr. I'm pretty sure this is the same David from Dayton and we were in the Marine Corps together. Roommates when we were rifle range instructors. If so and you happen to check this at some point, get a hold of me on facebook. How many Dr. Peppers did this take, btw?

Just did another search and saw your mug. It's you alright. Get in touch!

Heyo Dave! This record is featured in our January Community Choice contest on Facebook. Check it out here and tell your friends to vote! Top 3 records get an awesome RecordSetter prize pack. Go Pac-man!

  • The Internet Rick Fothergill

Awesome game Dave, you were able to beat your own record which as Tim McVey commented is quite impressive. Anyone who can should watch Dave play the last board is something to see.

Fixed on the homepage, too. Good to know about events!

  • The Internet David Race

Thanks Dan. I appreciate the feedback. I also noticed that the timing discrepancy was addressed and corrected, but the original time still appears on the home page. If you guys ever decide to put together a live event where Pac-Man is featured, I would love to see if I could beat my record in public. Thanks

David We're in the midst of building tools that will allow record pages to display multiple videos. This will allow you and other gamers to upload videos of any length, as long as they're broken down into shorter/smaller files and uploaded as such. Reference here: http://rec.st/EJx (displays a single video and multiple images)

Hey, Tim...sure would like to see some Nibbler action on her :P

I've ran thru ghosts before. There are known patterns that allow it to happen. Awesome game David! I have to get a split screen score submitted someday to just get on the list...I did the kill screen at Twin Galaxies back in the 80's, never submitted it because it wasn't a record. Now I wish I had. I'll never come close to perfect, just don't have the time and desire. But the kill screen is doable again I am sure. How you keep shaving time off your own score is AMAZING. Chasing your own score is the hardest thing in the world to do in my opinion. THAT takes amazing dedication!

Insane amount of skill, epic pacman playthrough, bonkers score... and he does so whilst listening to Pink Floyd's The Wall in the Background - Epic video is epic.

Nope, Adriel. That's been the setting for a perfect Pac-Man for like a decade and a half almost... that sort of thing. Can be adjusted inside the machine.

I noticed that only the first 2 hours appeared on recordsetter, unless I am missing something. You can view the last part of my game by going to:

Going through a ghost is sometimes called a booey. It does occur in the original game. There are no cheats. The explanation why this happens can be found on Jamey Pittman's web site, "The Pac-Man Dossieer". The pattern that I used from the 9th key until the split screen can be found on my youtube channel "ProveAll" along with other videos of pac-man.

    Thank you,

    David Race

  • The Internet Christina Rosser

Seems to me that he has a cheat installed to this machine. He should not be going straight through the ghosts like that should he? I know we installed a cheat on our pac-man arcade and the kiddos love it. All you have to do is hold down the 2nd player button and pac-man can go right through the ghosts.

  • The Internet Cat DeSpira

The Pac Master at last on RecordSetter. Way to go, David!

Holy crap man.... I can't last 15 minutes XD
