State/Province: 0 2024 was our 5th annual ride for a child, 7000km (4349.5 miles) charity motorbike ride around South Africa, and as part of our annual motorcycle ride to collect funds for children's surgeries and medical treatment, we decided to see how many motorcycles we can get to ride with us in tandem formation and as one group near our half way mark between Storms River and Jeffery's bay on the 24th February 2024.

A total of 2616 motorcycles rode with us for a distance of 50 km (31miles) between Storms River and Jeffery's Bay in the Eastern Cape in South Africa.

Our record attempt started at road marker N2-9 72,0E on the N2 Motorway and ended at Mentors Plaza in Jeffery's bay.

All motorcycles was individually counted by 3 separate persons with mechanical counters as we drove at 30miles per hour under a bridge.

Each motorcycle was filmed during the ride by a number of cameras and crews and all motorcycles was again counted once stopped at the end of our ride.

The total was confirmed to be 2616 motorcycles.
