In homage to his love of food, Colin Nissan sets a new universal
record by opening a can of Campbell’s Alphabet Soup and spelling out
‘PANTYHOSE’ in one minute, 25.77 seconds.
Nissan set the record on January 7, 2009 at a World Record Appreciation
Society event in New York City. He opened a standard size (10.5 ounces)
pop top lid can, strained the letters, and then spelled out ‘PANTYHOSE’
using letters from the soup. Ronnie Gensler and Nicholas Fritzhand were
present to document the achievement and confirm proper spelling.
Brian Pankey juggled three cans of Campbell’s soup in a cascade
pattern for eight minutes, 49.20 seconds.
Mark Lamster complained to a deli waiter eight times in 30 seconds.
He delivered 12 complaints but the last four were not within the
Lamster accomplished the feat on October 18, 2009 at Ben’s Deli
during a book release party for David Sax’s Save The Deli. Officials
from RecordSetter.com were on hand to document the record.
David Cain balanced a tower of 10 full soup cans on his forehead.
