Reciting World Records  

51 members of the Vermont AmeriCorps group came together and recited the AmeriCorps Pledge with at least 26 people in the group standing on one leg. The world record was set at their Annual Statewide Conference in Stowe, Vermont. The AmeriCorps Pledge: "I will get things done for America to make our people safer, smarter, and healthier. I will bring Americans together to strengthen our communities. Faced with apathy, I will take action. Faced with conflict, I will seek common ground. Faced with adversity, I will persevere."

At a weekend retreat, a group from Reboot set the world record for Largest Group To Recite A Double Entendre Haiku While Wearing "Cell Phone Sleeping Bags" On Left Hand. The feat was officiated by RecordSetter President Dan Rollman.

Tai Star recited a 250-word Monty Python quote while stopped at a red traffic light.

Sarah Olson recited the poem "Troll Sat Alone on His Seat of Stone" by J.R.R. Tolkein from her memory while holding her cat. The poem contains a total of 412 words.

Cameron Barr recited 23 quotes from The Simpsons in one minute.

Ben H. led 19 registered Australian scouting members to stand on one leg while reciting the Scout Promise.

Jake F. recited 81 digits of Pi during a single spin of a dreidel while blindfolded. He set the record to celebrate Pi Day.

Ethan Brown recited 2,012 digits of Tau from memory. He set the record to raise money for the Bethel Public Library. Learn more about the feat here.
