Outdoors World Records

During the sixth annual "Ready, Set, Wear It!" campaign, 10,917 people gathered at 257 events to set a world record for the largest group of people to wear life jackets. The event was hosted by the National Safe Boating Council in partnership with Canadian Safe Boating Council. They set the record to promote safe and responsible boating for National Safe Boating Week and throughout the boating season. See photos of the events here. Gordon L. performed a handstand on a rock for four minutes, 2.88 seconds.

Spinnabel Lee performed a fire Poi dance with Monkey's fists for two minutes, 13.38 seconds while it snowed.

John Chlarson caught a 21-pound carp using a Pen Fishing Rod. The fishing rod has telescoping reel that begins at 8 inches in length, but extends to 30 inches when in use.The fish itself measures 30 inches in length and has a 24 inch girth.

Michael Di Pippo of Penfishingrods.com owns a fishing rod and reel measuring eight inches in length.
