Hanging World Records  

Alicia Weber performed eight consecutive waving flexed one-arm hanging L lifts.

This record was set as part of Prius Records, a two-day event streamed live on the Internet. In a 48-hour period, URDB officials adjudicated 200 Prius-related world records. This was the most records ever documented in a 48-hour window, a world record in and of itself. The event took place in Los Angeles, California on March 30th and 31st, 2011. Ben M. hanged 60 hangers on his finger at once.

Matthew Prestia and four of his friends hung upside down on a set of monkey bars at the same time. NOTE: This video has adult language.

Members of Hills Home hung 70,000 socks on 70 Hills Hoists. They set the record to raise funds for Avner Pancreatic Cancer Foundation. They raised over $100,000 during the event and all 35,000 pairs of socks were donated to the Salvation Army.

Andy Pelphrey tossed a hat into a mounted deer heads antlers six times and made it hang off of them in 30 seconds.

15-year-old Nicholas Brice performed a straitjacket escape while dangling 40 feet above the ground. He was inspired to set the record by the late great magician Harry Houdini. Read more about the feat here.
