Dancing World Records

The iRobot Poland team led 659 people in doing "The Robot" at Ustka Beach in Poland. They set the record as part of their summertime event and to promote awareness of the importance of home robots in everyday life.

Lindsey Hajduk coordinated with the Alaska Wilderness League, Center for Biological Diversity, Endangered Species Coalition and Sierra Club in gathering the largest group of people dressed as polar bears while dancing in 24 hours. A total of 391 people across the United States participated. They set the record to raise awareness against offshore drilling, for protecting the Arctic region and in celebration of RecordSetter World Record Day. Michael Smith completed a cycle of the Macarena in 3.15 seconds while wearing an aqua dress and a fedora hat. He set the record as part of the College of Lake County Social Action Club's World Record Day fundraiser for the Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center in Gurnee, Illinois. #WorldRecordDay2012

A total of 53 members of The JCC Manhattan Adaptations Groups danced to The Cosby Show theme song at once. The JCC Manhattan Adaptations Groups set the record at a RecordSetter LIVE! event held at The JCC in Manhattan in New York City. RecordSetter Council president Dan Rollman and senior official Ella Morton presided over the attempt. #RSLIVE24

A total of 10 people danced to the Macarena in a bookstore during a stop on the RecordSetter book tour.

Third grader Emma tap danced for eight minutes, 27.97 seconds.

Hayley Nassif, Jackie Gregorie, Dan McGeehan, and Paris Anne Badat danced the Conga while walking down San Francisco's legendary Lombard Street.

The National Parkinson's Foundation Minnesota had 79 people dance together to raise awareness for Parkinson's disease.

Lauren R. led 21 dancers from Mountain Eire Irish Dance School in performing a traditional Irish jig dance at an altitude of 14,110 feet on the summit of Pikes Peak, Colorado. They set the record to celebrate their school's one year anniversary.

161 people at Maple Leaf Foods danced the Bacon Dance at once.

Sixty-eight people danced to "Shake It Off" at once. The members of The Gamma Sigma Chapter of Phi Sigma Pi set the record.

City of Champion's Executive Mayor Danny Jordaan led 47 children in dancing the Nae Nae dance.

The Relay For Life of Bergen Beach, Mill Basin & Marine Park organized an outdoor zumba class with 32 participants as part of their Zumba Flash Mob event. The participants continued to perform their exercises while raining. They set the record to raise cancer awareness and money for the benefit of Relay For Life and American Cancer Society.

395 people danced to "Can't Stop the Feeling" while wearing glow stick necklaces. They set the record during Summer Sizzle, a summer kick-off event in Mesquite, Texas.

Dan Clancey and 12 members of his group wore "Dance With Me" t-shirts while dancing.
