About

Milan, Italy / October 25, 2026

Milan author and longtime teacher Sergio Roedner gathered the Italian limericks he wrote over three years, first posted on his Facebook page, into Il libro dei 1000 limerick. Most open the Edward Lear way, with a person and a place, from a braying mayor in Zoagli to the sultan of Brunei. RecordSetter compared the full text of every entry in the October 2026 edition and counted 656 different limericks of his own, counting revised repeats once and leaving out the Lear and Gianni Rodari poems he quotes for comparison.
