Break Cancer World Records

46 “Mommas” shaved their heads in solidarity with kids battling cancer. The group's goal is to raise $1 million dollars for pediatric oncology, and donate it the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

A total of 20 people simultaneously spoke the words "Break Cancer" upon completing a marathon and half-marathon. They set the record as part of Team Shan Breast Cancer Awareness for Young Women activities during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Ontario, Canada.

Eight men completed testicular self examinations at once. The record was set at Do512’s World Record Party, held at The Highball[] in Austin, Texas on August 27, 2010. #WRP01

78 cancer survivors and their caregivers hula hooped at the same time during a Defeat Cancer meeting in Bend, Oregon.

Seven people in Robert Brunson’sESL class said “Beat cancer” in Chinese at once.

Directed by guest speaker Chris Sacca, 1006 freshmen students at Wright State University yelled the word “Livestrong!” at the same time. The record was set to raise awareness for Lance Armstrong’s cancer-related organization.

48 members of Texas 4000 donned fake mustaches and danced in a conga line. Each mustache was made using Break Cancer stickers.

Seven people finished the 2010 San Antonio Rock & Roll Full & Half-Marathon[] said “Break cancer!” after their completion of the race.

On November 24, 2010, Lorna Larsen, president of Team Shan, presented to 450 students at the University of Western Ontario. Following the lecture, she inspired the entire room to say, “Team Shan Breast Cancer Awareness for Young Women” at the same time.

Forty Mary Kay consultants said “Mary Kay kisses cancer goodbye” at the same time. They set the record in honor of Terri Schaefer for the We Believe Foundation.

Mason Kinard trashed “Cancer” 28 times in 30 seconds.

A group of 120 people composed of patients, survivors, caregivers, advocates, navigators, healthcare professionals and attorneys gathered together to learn about cancer rights. The rights discussed include Employment amp; Taking Time Off Work, Health, Disability and Life Insurance Options, Access to Health Care, Insurance Navigation and Appeals, Understanding Health Care Reform, Cancer Community Resources, Genetics amp; the Law, Legislative Advocacy, Education Rights of Children and Young Adults with Cancer, and Financial Planning.

A group of 63 people including young adult cancer survivors, nurses, doctors, friends and family of those with a cancer diagnosis shouted “Break Cancer” while using party poppers.

301 people came together on the Southern Utah University Thunderbirds[] football field to honor cancer survivors and Break Cancer. They were participating inThe Iron County American Cancer Society Relay for Life[].

Seven people joined together and danced while wearing "F Cancer"[]shirts. The man in the plaid shirt was not counted.

Ty Conner and his friends Noah McDougall, Andrew Vial, Chrisie VonHatten, and Adam Denton participated in a cancer awareness race in the hallway of the Earth and Sciences Building at the University of Tennessee. They raced on foot, by bicycle and in a rolling chair.
