Sword swallower extraordinaire Dan Meyer swallowed a 24-inch sword blade while submerged underwater with sharks, a new world record.

The record was set on May 18, 2007 at Ripley’s Aquarium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Tim O’Brien was present as a witness.

This unfortunate record was set on November 25, 2008 off the coast of Hawaii#39;s Big Island. Natasja Lowe was on hand to witness the mishap.
