Susie Brown endured tremendous pain, but managed to triumph by setting a new record for the world’s longest bruise: 14 1/8 inches. This bruise demolished former record holder Kevin’s 10.4 inch bruise.

The record was set on August 30, 2008 at the Burning Man festival in Black Rock City, Nevada. Paul Mitchell and Dan Rollman of the Playa Book of Records Executive Committee were present to videotape and measure the evidence.
