The cupcake was embellished with nine .75 ct. round diamonds, and finished with one 3 ct. round-cut diamond, donated by Jonathan Mervis. This value of this cupcake beat the previous record by $12,000.

    The dessert was designed in Gaithersburg, Maryland on April 15, 2009. Alan Tarwater and Jonathan Mervis were present as witnesses.
