Tai Star created a domino chain using 108 playing cards and successfully made the entire chain topple.

- must use standard-sized playing cards
- cards must be set up in a single line
- cards may be bent slightly so they can stand without support
- cards must fall into each other one at a time
- all cards in domino chain must topple
- no adhesives permitted
- must follow form of current world record holder
- must provide video evidence

The Rule Should be Edited to:

    - must use standard-sized playing cards

    • cards may not be bent
    • cards must fall into each other one at a time
    • all cards in domino chain must topple
    • no adhesives permitted
    • must follow form of current world record holder
    • must provide video evidence

Using unbent cards leaning on each other?! cool

the difference between "most cards in a domino chain" and "longest card domino chain" is:

in 'most cards in a domino chain'; Besides the first card, any card may have two cards leaning on it, (like the third card in this chain)...

in 'longest card domino chain', only one card may lean on the card before it

getting all the cards in one straight line is a little more difficult, that's why I submitted both categories. sorry for the confusion. I am open for any name ideas.

Great new category, Tai. Love the commitment in finally making it work!

Thanks Dan, but this record is mislabeled, this is the "most cards in a card domino chain," The difference is that in this record the chain may split into two (or more) chains. The "longest playing card domino chain" should be one long chain.

Is 108 the right count? I thought we were just counting the longest successful component, not the attempts with gaps in them.

    • United States Tai Star

yes, only the successful attempt is counted.

    • Canada Dan Rollman

I'm still confused. Doesn't "successful attempt" = "longest playing card domino chain"?

    • United States Tai Star

well, this is two decks wide but only one deck long. the "longest" should be in a straight line.

Hey Tai, you think 'Most Playing Cards Used In A Domino Chain' should be more appropriate? or 'Longest Two-Deck Playing Card Domino Chain' ...I'm a little confused too after reading this thread

    • United States Tai Star

yes Ma-Ann, 'Most Playing Cards Used In A Domino Chain' should be more appropriate. thank you

      Done! Nice teamwork, y'all.
