CHALLENGING THIS WORLD RECORD

YOU NEED TO BEAT

1 balloon animal

Rules

What counts. Tally the number of completed balloon animals made entirely underwater while the participant is wearing SCUBA gear. A piece counts when the sculpture is recognizable (e.g., dog) and shown hands-off for ≥3 seconds while fully submerged.

Materials. Use standard twisting balloons (e.g., 260s). Start with uninflated/empty balloons shown on camera. No pre-tying, frames, wire, tape, glue, or adhesives.

Inflation. Manual pump or water fill is allowed. Do not inflate directly from a regulator/exhaust or with buoyancy devices.

Continuity & assistance. The participant must remain submerged for the entire attempt. Assistants may hand materials and film but may not twist or shape the balloon. If a sculpture pops/breaks before the hands-off display, it doesn’t count.

Evidence. Submit one continuous, unedited video with a visible timestamp showing: the dive setting, the uninflated balloons/tools before starting, each sculpture being completed, and the hands-off display. Announce the running total aloud. (Two independent witness statements recommended.)

Environment & safety. Follow safe diving practices; avoid contact with reef/wildlife; retrieve all debris after the attempt. Standard RecordSetter community guidelines apply.
