Rules

- horseshoes must be new and unaltered forged steel St. Croix Forge brand, model Ultra-Light Rim #2
- horseshoes must weigh at least 8.5oz (240.97g)
- any technique is permitted to bend the horseshoes as long as there is no outside assistance, mechanical, or electrical aid
- record setter may only use parts of his or her body to bend the horseshoes
- may pre-wrap the ends of the horseshoe with soft leather for padding before the attempt to protect hands
- may use a piece of material (e.g. a towel) to protect any part of the body being used to bend the horseshoes
- must bend horseshoes one at a time
- each horseshoe must be bent in a 360-degree arch until the tips are at least 3 inches (7.6cm) or closer to each other
- must follow form of current world record holder
- must provide video evidence
