Blake Grigsby and other local community members in Naperville, Illinois built a cardboard box fort made of 3,204 boxes.

They set the record to encourage communities to work together toward a common goal. Volunteers set up an open restaurant inside the fort and put on family-friendly improv shows. All profits were donated to American Cancer Society.

- fort must be composed primarily of cardboard boxes
- tape and other adhesives permitted
- must follow form of current world record holder
- must provide video evidence
