There needs to be some criteria here? What counts as "crossing"? Can I go to the South and just zoom across faster?

I think the broader the better unless explicitly specified by the record-setter. That OR you could create two records, one of which is as specific as you want and the other of which is as broad as possible. For example, someone that sets a record for "Longest Time Standing on left foot while eating an apple and playing Mario Kart" should also be considered for the broader record of "Longest Time Standing on One Foot" as long as the category is 100% applicable and the record is in fact a new record for both.

  • As the record setter, I welcome anyone to break this record. Snowmobile, car, this thing. Whatever you want. I think it should be as open as possible. My two qualifications are that it can't be by airplane (lame) and you need to be a tourist (sorry Hondureños).

We had an interesting discussion at URDB HQ about whether this category title should be Fastest Crossing Of Honduras By Motor Vehicle or Fastest Crossing Of Honduras By Motorcycle. Anyone have thoughts on this? Do you prefer record categories that are more broad or extremely specific? If somebody beat this record in a sports car, would it seem fair, or should that be a new record?
