For the sake of inspiring people moving forward, I'd love to see you have another go at this record and shoot a top-notch video that clearly shows the attempt, precise measurements, etc. It feels like this category has potential to become a truly competitive field. Go for it, Brooks!
Shoot. I made a mistake with my submission. It should be 3.75 inches. This is the total distance between both ends. I am submitting my index finger measurements based on a standard 3x3" post-it note.
I hear you dan. If it will help, I will submit photos of my fingers next to a ruler asap. As far as documentation goes, I did my best to show that the parking was on a busy street with multiple cars on either side of me. Is it possible I cheated? Of course. Unfortunately, without a video shadow, there is no way to properly document a spontaneous event.
I think this record attempt should be denied. The category is fantastic, but there's simply not enough evidence here. How do know that he didn't park his car and then have the car in front or back pull in? How do we know that the other vehicles didn't move? Furthermore, how we can accept fingers as an accurate measurement of 2.75 inches? I think we should make video evidence required criteria moving forward.
