United States

Be the first to like this record

Signal Mountain, Tennessee, United States / August 22, 2011

Philip Zeiser balanced 43 quarters on back of his hand and successfully caught all of them in a single catch.

Stride’s setting 100 records in 100 days. At the end of 100 days, we’ll verify if you are the standing Record Holder. If you are, you’ll get $500 for each record you managed to hold with your guile, talent, and sheer will.

General caution and common sense required. We show the Stride Team at work, but recommend that these challenges be done at home.

- all quarters must be balanced in a single stack
- must catch all quarters balanced
- must count quarters on video before and after attempt

Spencer, no. The criteria states "- must catch all quarters balanced." That should clear it up for you :)

  • The Internet Pete Graf

OK Cody, I was looking at the wrong record......again, there goes that senility thing again. You're right. I won't be beating your record (#33) anytime soon! Do you know what these toes look like or where they've been? Good luck everyone!

  • The Internet Pete Graf

Cody, first off I apologize for even mentioning you name. That was a screw up due to my age as Jordan has pointed out.....possibly early senility for saying your name at the beginning of the video instead of Jordan's? :)

Jordan, I only wanted to point that out, because as the first challenge showed, it was grabbing the coins with the palm of the hand downward.....which is how you did your first attempt at 15, as well as Cody's attempt at 20. The only problem I had, was the attempt at 25, which by the rules is legal. I was just surprised they accepted it is all? I did it your method as well, just to see how it worked, and up to 50, it seems as if I could do it nearly every time. Past fifty however, it became very difficult because there was always one coin that wanted to bounce out of that clutch. Jordan, although I am much older than you, you have to understand the reasoning for me to attempt something like this. There has been a challenge set forth by my Wife's place of business, to have each employee set a World record. She came across this site, and we each found it intriguing. I may be old, but I'm a kid at heart. It's difficult to know whether someone is just poking a jab, or being mean. I'm not mean. With that, I hope you can accept the fact that I'm not denying your attempt at 25, nor that you didn't stay within the written guidelines. I just was questioning the integrity. I hope we're cool. You have been a record breaking machine. Maybe there's a two room apartment in your future if you can pull off several wins? (See, that's more of that playful ribbing?)

Cody, again, sorry for calling your name out, and no way on record #33. That's just plain torture, and Brian deserves that victory if it withstands.

Jordan, sorry for calling you out, but as old as I am, I've recorded several more records, and this old fart isn't done yet! LOL

  • United States Cody Owens

Pete, nice ONE record. way to call people out without reason. I'd love to see you take Long Lasting Record #33 from me. ROFL.

  • United States Good Bye

Pete, let Recordsetter and Stride determine what the criteria for this record is. The current criteria says nothing of a specific way to catch them. If this is a problem we could easily have someone verify what is best.

If you haven't noticed, I live in a room the size of a large closet. I can't always get them in frame, but I do my best do document my attempts. I don't want any doubt that I am cheating or not doing the challenge.

Also, lets not ridicule each other on camera. For a man of your age, you shouldn't be doing stuff like that.

I wish you the best of luck in holding the record.

  • United States Schuyler Van Horn

SO SMOOTH! That was amazing. I'd love to see you knock this record out of the ballpark too! http://recordsetter.com/world-record/coins-tossed-caught-once/9076. You Wisco chaps sure have a knack for coin catching

  • Canada Dan Rollman

Fantastic job, Pete. Very impressive. The equivalent of running a 100 meter dash in under 9 seconds.

  • United States Christophe Flodstrom

"Excuse me everybody else, but if you want to step up, I'll slap you with my quarter-catching hand." Pete Graf is a beast.

  • The Internet Michelle Pryor

Man you were amazing here. I really admire your ability to cope with FIFTEEN quarters. I can see a bright future ahead of you.
