- may only use one set of chess pieces
- may use plastic chess pieces
- must stack pieces in a single column
- must stack chess pieces upright
- tower must remain freestanding for at least five seconds
- may not use any adhesives
- must topple tower at the end of attempt
- must observe RecordSetter balancing criteria
- must provide video evidence

    watch a movie called searching for bobbie fisher, theres a huge piece tower stack in one of the clips. Might be a good watch.

    Yeah, I realized this was possible while playing on a different set over the weekend. Can my record be transferred to "Tallest Flat-Bottomed Chess Piece Tower"? The pieces I used didn't have the hollow bottoms that these pieces have. Now, this is just as legitimate a record, but in all fairness it might be better off if we have two separate categories. My take.

    Yeah, I forgot to mention but I think it's clear in the intent of the record that pieces must be upright. (Can a mod add that?)

    I have gotten a column of almost all the chess pieces of two chess sets but, all the pieces were sideways
