Of course he did not because Mr. Salter ran!

    And he didn't drop any!

Phenomenal, Joe. Nate, look forward to seeing whether you can reclaim the title. Huzzah, competition!

Thanks, Dan. I left it all out there. Man, I really have a greater respect for the backwards runners who have set speed records. It really feels tougher than it looks, and the perceived effort is great, although you're really not going as fast as you think. Then, just add juggling to the mix, and you make it even more difficult :)

Great job, Joe! I'll have to give it another shot. I was hoping to go under 7:30 one day. I guess I better try it soon.

Did you send your paper work to the Book of Alternative Records? You should definitely do it.

Thanks, Nate. Yes, I submitted it to them. Will do it again possibly for Guiness, since I already have the application approved. I think I can do under 7min with some training in the future. I hadn't stepped on a track literally for over 15 years. I did no warm up lap either. One tough thing for Guiness, would be to stay in the lane the entire time since stepping out would disqualify you for their standards.

I would change the name to "Fastest Time to Run a Mile Backwards While Juggling" since not everyone knows what "joggling" is and other joggling records don't use joggling in the title.

I would change the title "Fastest Time to Run a Mile backwards while Juggling" just because not everyone knows what "joggling" is and other joggling records on the site aren't titled that way.

Just wanted to let everyone know that this record is now listed as an official joggling world record: http://www.recordholders.org/en/list/joggling.html

Dang it! I was in training for this and thought no one else would ever think about it. Sadly I was at a mere 9:30. Congrats!

Sorry to steal your idea. I actually surprised myself at the record attempt. I just wanted to be sub 9. My previous best had been 9:12. I eventually want to be sub 8. You should give it a shot. You never know what you can do when the adrenaline is there.
