Jack Woodworth provided a rock band name for each letter of the alphabet in 53.25 seconds, a new world record. He did so while striking a cardboard box with a belt, done in homage to performance artist Ray Johnson[].

Woodworth set the record on February 17, 2009 at a World Record Appreciation Society[] event at the Hemlock Tavern in San Francisco, California. Dan Rollman and Debbie Hampton were present as witnesses.
