We think only a record holder can know what you go through to set a record, so we only let people that
have already set world records downvote other people's records.

Go set a record! If you can think of it, you can set a new world record for it.
Hello Darryl - Just amazing. you need 100% percent balance. I see that when you started you could only do 3 reps ? That is a huge improvement I must say ( BRAVO.) You can also thank the chicken that made such a strong egg shell right ? Otherwise, instead of a RECORD you would have gotten a Spanish OMELET. Take care from Superflo.
Alyjha unfortunately he can't because he lives in Canada. I broke one myself but can't submit it until the competition ends because I live in Australia.
Its actually a bottle cap from a "Boost" (a nutritional supplement) bottle - funny enough I found that traditional egg holders were poor to sufficiently support the integrity of the egg used in attempt.
Than I filled the inside with sand to take shape of the egg bottom.
My biggest tip would be expect it to, "hurt" as eggs are pointy, and thus press rather un-forgivingly into just a small part of the palm, and more so because the radial nerve just happens to run very near to the placement of the egg.
The egg should be placed closest to where the plam meets the wrist, and start off from an extended position.
Expect to cut your palm a few times from the cracked shells resulting from broken eggs.
Not 'as' painfull as the one-arm back of hand push-up I do on concrete.
Just one of those things like doing a chore you really don't want to do - you just suck it up, and do it (knowing either way you'll survive,lol).
The physics of the calcium carbonate shell (which has strong molecular bonds similer to that of sea-shells) is based on the arch and the inverted arch - when pressure/force is exacted at the top, the force travels linearly downwards to the inverted arch the force pressing on the ground travels up again creating an equal force among the entire matrix of the shell (it's almost akin to how a stick held up-right can hold enormous weight but side-ways little weight can break the stick).
