We think only a record holder can know what you go through to set a record, so we only let people that
have already set world records downvote other people's records.
What can I do?
Go set a record! If you can think of it, you can set a new world record for it.
@Dustin, we hear your point, last week we had the same conversation in our office. A lot of suit pants actually do not have buttons, they have metal clamps on the inside. Neil and his friends used pants like this for the record. See my comment below about what is accepted in this record category. Sorry for the cinfusion.
so we kinda got screwed... the criteria states that pants must be zipped and buttoned. And i know u accepted theirs even though it didnt, but our pants did get zipped and buttoned? If your going to deny those ppl for the ping pong then this should be denied again
Following extended dialogue with the team at Stride today, we need to provide clarity about what a "tie" is. We were incorrect in believing that any category in which two or more people submit the same approved value is counted as a "tie." A "tie" only happens when two or more people submit EXACTLY THE SAME VALUE at EXACTLY THE SAME TIME.
For this category and all others in which there are ties, the FIRST entrant to submit an approved value will be recognized as the winner. Later attempts which match that value will be recognized as DENIED attempts. This stays in line with our existing RecordSetter policy, in which you need to BEAT an existing record in order to gain world record recognition.
We are incredibly sorry for the confusion on this issue. It's an unfortunate situation, and one we feel badly about. As a token of our apology, we will send a RecordSetter t-shirt and a copy of The RecordSetter Book of World Records to all of those affected directly by this issue.
How are ties working? It says in the rules that if there is a tie then the money is split between tied contestants....just wondering what the ruling is
Recognizing that many suit pants have internal clasps instead of external buttons, we are amending what is acceptable here. As long as the jacket buttons are buttoned, feet are through the pants, arms are through the jacket, and the pants are zipped completely we will accept the attempt.
This is a good attempt, but...the second person legs did not fully go through the legs of the pants until feet protruded - as stated in the criteria so we had to deny.
No thats not it.. I dunno whats up with it.. now it stops after 10 seconds or so.. Ill check back later, maybe my computer just doesn't like me right now :)

It is our understanding that in the event of ties, money will be split.

@Neil suggestions: sew a button on -or- find a suit with buttons.
Neil Moallem
Well these suit pants don't have a button, I can send you a picture for proof of this. Or even a video
Rob Birdsong
@Neil "pants must be buttoned and zipped" - your team does not follow that criteria throughout the attempt.
Neil Moallem
I would really like to know why our attempt was denied. All of us put our arms and legs through the suit, we followed all of the criteria
Neil Moallem
Why was this denied????
Rob Birdsong
This is a good attempt, but...the second person legs did not fully go through the legs of the pants until feet protruded - as stated in the criteria so we had to deny.

You may have to pause the video and let it buffer for a few seconds. Seems to be working fine for me.
Bryan Vitale
This video too.. after 37 seconds the video stops
