Nothing but a bunch of rookies.

I beat this for a joke and I was going slow. I can do it in less than one minute...see how!

Criteria states "balls must begin in a jumbled pile." This is an impressive feat, but the balls are clearly assembled into a string. Sorry Mason, but I think this attempt should be denied. Others?

Jake, since you created the category, could you weigh in here, please? I predict there will be a lot of attempts made after Christmas, as Buckyballs are a great stocking stuffer. Should measurement markers be allowed or not? And how about my idea of splitting it off into two separate categories?

  • response to previous attempt Ann-Marie Meyers

    Ann-Marie Meyers

Perhaps we need two categories, one with a measure, one without.

Good job Mason Curtis! I guess I will need to try and reclaim my title. Way to go.

If you want to attempt the record in the UK or Europe then Buckyballs are availiable at http://www.pranksterhouse.com

I would like to retract my "I bet he cheated" comment. That was a quick comment and not a fair choice of words if the criteria didn't directly forbid that. I do believe that measurement marks or other physical alignment aids should not be allowed. No disrespect to Josh intended.

Josh, can you chip in here? Did you make markings on the desk? What do people think? Should we add "no measurement marks permitted" to the criteria list?

  • response to previous attempt Josh Porter

    Josh Porter

Kinda fishy seeing as how he begins to measure off the screen (bottom)

  • response to previous attempt

Yep - clearly used a desktop rule. Did the original challenge state that it was illegal to do so?

  • response to previous attempt

    Awesome Record!

  • response to previous attempt

I bet he cheated by having marks on the desk for a length of 36 balls. I don't think he can count out the first strand that fast by just running his fingers along it. I've tried that and that alone blows at least 8-9 seconds
