  I've never really been able to hula hoop. You make it look so easy. Sorry, Pete, but I can't watch the whole video.

  Emily, it's good for your hips but it's extremely good for your core. I teach a hula hoop class and I know my ladies love it. I use it as my main form of cardio since I have to stay off my knee for awhile after doing the stair climbing record.

  I'd recommend buying yourself a weighted hula hoop and giving it a whirl!
